The inside scoop on what all happens to a 32 year old guy in Omaha, Nebraska. You won't find all the latest gossip or reviews. Instead, you just get me and my world.

It's the last day of February...already! Time is sure flying by, I hate that. I think this great weather we're having isn't helping things. It feels like Spring around here. Today our high is 68 degrees. The same is called for tomorrow as well. I'm not really complaining, just scared that when this weather turns, that it's going to turn really really ugly. But we'll see.

So we watched this movie last night, In Good Company I think it's called. It had Topher Grace, Scarlett Johansson and Dennis Quaid. It was remarkably good, but I felt like Topher's character a little. He turns into this corporate firing maching marching through the company "letting people go" as he called it. It was a good reminder for me to not get so caught up in the corporate aspect of work. I'm not sure how many people reading have had to fire another person, but it's not ever "easy", but you just get more efficient at it. Right now I've got the perfect words and phrases to get the whole deal over with and papers signed in about 5 minutes. I thought I was doing it that way to be effective, but I realize I think I've mastered it so that it's easy for me... less guilt or pain that way. Who knows, it's an interesting thought though.

Speaking of interesting, Cory just booked our next vacation. Looks like we're headed to Mexico for a week. We're going to Puerto Vallarta. I really can't wait, mostly to see Cory's expression and how he interacts. It'll be his first time in a foreign country. It'll be awesome I'm sure. I just hope he's not expecting glitz and glam and the sort. Hopefully he'll get that feeling most do when they realize how nice it is, but how great they have it being a spoiled US citizen. We'll see. We are going to be there the week of May 15th. It'll kind of be like a birthday present for me since my birthday is the week before. I can't wait.. it's been over 10 years since I've been to Mexico. Which reminds me, I REALLY need to brush up on my Spanish. Yikes!

Adios mis amigos!

Back to the grind..Monday and it's all work and no play. Really, I did have a good weekend. My older brother came up and we went looking for hardwood flooring for his house. It was great to hang out with him, LeAnne and Mia. They're always so much fun, and with Travis there is never a dull moment...NEVER! After we got done, they went to the bowling alley with Cory and me to hang out and watch us bowl a little bit. They should have stayed, because while they were there I bowled great... as soon as they left it was crash and burn baby! At least we had fun, we bowled a great team.

I found these video clips of The Phony Photo Booth from The Tonight show. They are great. I think the link will work if you click here for the yahoo search. Watch them.. I couldn't stop laughing. Some people will do just about anything you tell them...sheesh

The Nebraska Humane Society has the cutest greyhound for adoption...I think Sophie needs a playmate. And what better than a greyhound!! Cory'd kill me. ;) It's fun to dream though right?!?!

One last note... Deal or No Deal is on again this week on NBC. You gotta watch it. Also the new apprentice starts tonight as well. Tomorrow is the premier of The Amazing Race 9 on CBS. Good shows popping back up again! WOOHOOOOO

So it's snowing. The white stuff has returned preceeded with freezing rain and sleet. For those of you who aren't familiar with the combination in this order.. it's like if you had on a pair of socks and tried running around on a huge floor of glass covered in sand or sugar. It's slick and just as annoying as your neighbors dog barking at 2:30 am. Hopefully we won't get much snow and it'll melt next week....hopefully!
Cory goes to Spokane next week...Monday thru Thursday. It so boring when he leaves! I am a fairly creative person, but there's only so many conversations you can have with your dog and cat! If I don't wind up sleeping the entire time he's gone it might be a good time to get online. I haven't been on much, kinda miss the people, don't miss the normal drama. Yahoo chat has just grown into such a mess lately. The oddest of odd people now monopolize the "non-spambot" conversations. SO while you are fighting off the bots and their cliche ads, the freaks are circling you...waiting to dive in. (Okay so it's not thaaat bad, but you get my point). I never used the user rooms in yahoo, but I wish they'd come back so the people that did use them could go back there.
In other news, Mads Mikkelsen is the new bad guy in the upcoming Bond film. He was good as Tristan in King Arthur. So maybe I'll watch this Bond movie.. I haven't seen any of the new ones. For some reason I just can't get the thought out of my head everytime I see Pierce Brosnan of my mom going "He's just so good looking" everytime we watched Remington Steel. It's forever jaded me... FOREVER!!!!

Well...that's it. Leave me a comment if you read this, I'm curious just how many people do. Seems I blab and blab, but at least I'm keeping you updated Tex... ;)

Computers, Hockey and Bowling Oh MY

What a fun weekend. We've gotten into such a rutt of not really doing anything during the weekend, it was kind of nice to go out and actually be with people! Saturday, Cory and I went to Lincoln to my brothers. He had some computer problems he needed my help with and I had been given two tickets to the Lincoln Stars Hockey game that night. So we spent most the day there with them; they did leave for awhile as my niece Mia had a baskeball game to play. The hockey game was great, they really put on a show and make it exciting. Of course Cory and I know absolutely nothing about hockey. Literally...nothing. Icing, Slashing, Off-Sides, Roughing....wow...had no clue. We didn't even know how many periods there were. Anyway, it was fun.
Sunday we had bowling and we won 3 out of the 4 games. I bowled the best I have ever done, beating my high game ever again this year. I bowled a 177, a 258, and a 226. I totally rocked, and I'm not sure why. The pins just kept falling, it was fun. Next weekend is the Ice Bowl tournament. I hope I do as good then as I did this weekend. I could win some money!! Cross your fingers for me, do a special dance or whatever! Even if I don't do that good, it'll be a great time, the bowling alley is usually packed all weekend.

Ross the Intern and Winter Olympics

Yeah, I'm already excited about the Winter Olympics being on so soon, but it appears Ross the Intern is going to be covering them as well. For those of you who may not know, he's a correspondant for Jay Leno on the Tonight Show. Absolutely hilarious. He's got a blog/site where he's posting everything he does. Click here for his blog/site, I'll put a link to it on my links very shortly. You got to read his blog when you get some time. Words can't really describe him, you just gotta watch. Anyway, explore his site and clear your schedules for the opening ceremonies Friday evening. It should be a grand show...

Did I mention there are lotsa hotties in the Olympics too? *sly grin*
