The inside scoop on what all happens to a 32 year old guy in Omaha, Nebraska. You won't find all the latest gossip or reviews. Instead, you just get me and my world.

The snow's pretty much all gone now. Today is supposed to reach 65 degrees or so to end up a nice overall day. Rain and thunderstorms should be occuring tonight and tomorrow, which are much better weather contidions than the 12 inches of snow we got last week. Since it'll be raining, it looks like we can throw the old pump in the pool and drain out the water that's collected in there this winter and get ready to work on it for summer. Of course we have the fence in total disrepair, which needs to be fixed really badly. It's such an eyesore! I won't have anyone over to be out back in the yard until it's fixed, I'm totally embarassed by it. Cory's worried about the expense, and I am too, but it's got to be a priority or else we're going to get complaints from the neighbors. Ugh. Houses are so much fun!

Other news, I get to do interviews at work again. I got to replace one of my employees, so I'm TOTALLY looking forward to that. NOT... It's kind of fun to get a new face, but it's just a lot of work. But eh, it'll keep me busy!

I'm outta time, more later maybe

The calories and protein have been going in... now it's time for the working out. Of course, the scale only shows me about a pound and a half heavier on average this week, but I'll take all I can get. Back to working out, ouchie. I took it slow and simple, just to work out all the small aches and such. But alas, there are a few painful areas on my poor body. They are more like those aches where you have to stand on one foot, arch your back and try tying your arms in a knot before you discover your elbow hurts. But none-the less, I know it wouldn't have hurt before working out. My mom would say, "well don't do that if it hurts", but you just can't help it. If I could just get my shoulder and arms developed better I'd be happy. So I'm going to try try try and we'll see what happens.

Next step of pre-vacation stuff is finding a place for Sophie to stay. The previous place won't work now, as the person is moving from a house and into an apartment. And the apartment isn't going to let them keep a dog without paying extra. Soooo I asked my mom. Now I knew there would be some hesitance which is understandable. They don't have a dog for a reason, they don't want to take care of one. Ergo, it looks like it might be doggy day-care for her. Hmmmm I'm not sure about that. I'm so protective of her, but I know she'd probably love it. I think she really wants to be with other dogs, so this would be time for her to hang out with her own kind. So we'll see. I'm not sure how much those boarding kennels cost per day, I'm hoping not too much. Wish me luck on that.

finally, it's on to Spanish. I'm trying to brush up on it so I'm somewhat competent when we arrive. I am not one to not like to know what's going on, so I've gotta get to where I was in college and be able to speak it comfortably. I hope I still have all my old books around, that'd be great.

All for now...

O.k... I really don't want to get into a huge discussion about the Oscars. Everyone is, so I don't really feel I need to add to the pile. The thing I want to get out is the funny headlines you see about Crash winning. Now... Nebraska is a pretty conservative state. Actually it's quite conservative. However...here is the headline from one of our major news channel's website:

Best Picture Shocker: 'Crash' Tops 'Brokeback'

Now C'mon...am I the only one reading that the wrong way? LOL now I know it's something you HAVE to read into, but it's rather obvious. They wouldn't have titled it that if Walk the Line were the one expected to win and not Brokeback. So if we keep on the same line of thinking, and Brokeback didn't win much at all, the line would probably be "Brokeback is Bottoms up at Oscars"! Sorry, I'm having too much fun with this...

On to bowling. We won all 4 games which should slide us up to 4th. I'm hoping we can get into 3rd by the end. We only have 6 weeks left... so keep rooting for me! This week was close, we only won by 13 pins on the last game. Whew!

The LOST Idol Deal!!!

Whoa...all the TV these days. It's been awhile since there was more on TV than I can stand to watch in one evening. Last night there was LOST, American Idol, Deal or No Deal, Law and Order, and.......*deep breath* Yes.. I was lazy and watched all of them.

LOST was finally amazing again. The clues that were dropped and the questions they created were flying all over the screen. I've never been a big fan of the character Claire, but that didn't matter last night. I don't want to ruin things, but they kept the show moving along very well. (Side note, the guy they have contained in the hatch...I guess his story, his name Henry Gale which is Dorothy's uncle, and the hot air balloon all match up with The Wizard of Oz. So it appears he's a fake... What do you think?) I thought it was a great episode if you can't tell!

American Idol wasn't too bad either. The guys were on and they did o.k. Simon was in normal pissy form of course. The only really great performance was Chris Daugherty I thought. Ace looked good, but just didn't do it for me. The others..well... eh... weren't that great.

Deal or No Deal was great as always. Isn't it funny that the most simple of ideas can make such an intense one as well? I don't know how many times I told Cory "JEEEZ, I have no idea what I'd do...". The show does such a good job of preying on peoples' weakness with greed. The contestant find it too hard to really understand that the $179,000 they are being offered actually IS a LOT of money. No, it's not the $2,000,000 that is floating around out there in some suitcase holding up a skinny pretty girl, but it's still a LOT of money. There have been a couple contestants that made me want a "slap button" on my remote. So I could push it and I'd be able to provide a much needed slap to the contestant who pushes on with "NO deal" in hopes of the ultimate bling bling. Oh well.. it's just a show right?

In other news... I'm weighing myself tonight. I've been trying to eat as much as possible lately. With Mexico coming up in a couple months.. I want to try and gain some weight before so I am not embarrassed on the beach. Weights and food baby...time to bulk up! (yeah right) But I'm going to give it a try. Any suggestions?

Until later...
