The inside scoop on what all happens to a 32 year old guy in Omaha, Nebraska. You won't find all the latest gossip or reviews. Instead, you just get me and my world.

A response.. what do you think?

So I put the previous post ( the one right below this blog post ) on one of the many sites like myspace.com. I got the following response, to which I responded. What do you think? Did I say the right thing or do I sound like I was just arguing? In my profile on that site, I have a couple hundred friends and most are girls. I did not put on my profile information anything regarding my sexuality. I simply left it blank. What do you think?

Here is the response from someone who read my thoughts:

I dont know but Bush is doing all that he can he is a good christian man...we need to work through the differences even thoughh you might not accept them like gays or whatever..they are people but they are people who dont know who they are yet..even though they think they are gay..or bi ...i think we need to be stronger together..but i think its going to be alright in the end God will help us through all the tough times.

Here is the response I wrote back regarding the comments:

Well, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. Accepting differences doesn't mean taking away their rights or amending a legal document to prevent them from ever getting those rights. By doing that, he's showing his judgment on people, and limiting the US government to a Christian Government. We aren't Christian; the government is to be separate from the church and religion. How can it be separate if they are trying to modify legal documents because of Christian Values. If you can't tell by my response, I'm gay and live a very great life. I have been with the same person for almost 8 years, we own a house, two cars, a cat, dog and have wonderful loving families. We pay taxes, we vote, and we are excellent citizens. In fact, most people wouldn't know I'm gay at all. I encompass different people and admire people for their beliefs and thoughts. That's why I hate to see people close down their ability to accept those that are different. We aren't supposed to try and understand why a person thinks what they do, but accept that they think differently. Gay people know who they are, we have goals and many are very devout Christians, Buddhist, Muslims, etc. We are not lost souls; we are very steadfast and simply wish to be accepted. We're no different than any one else, straight or otherwise. Love is great, why can't everyone accept that? To be in love with anyone should be rejoiced. How awful to put someone down because they have found love with someone the same sex as them. What a shame, there are many more important things in life to worry about. :)

What do you think? Did I just come across as argumentative? I was trying to simply be responsive and offer why I wrote what I did. Let me know.. and of course, be brutally honest, I love it!

To tell you what I think...

Whatever happened to the American President being the "Servant of the American People"? When did the constitution stop being important? When was it "o.k." to break the law on a regular basis? When did the USA decide to avert it's eyes and allow a demi-fascist power monger to represent it's people and rule over them as if they were incompetent slaves unable to determine what's best for them? Well...I'm not sure of an exact date, but I can narrow it down to roughly 6 years ago when George W. Bush was elected and brought to power.
Day by day, it's growing apparent that Bush does not care what the American people think; unless "the people" are those who control the top 20% of the US finances and wealth, or are nestled deep within a very one sided Christian Conservative Regime. Those of us who work middle income, low-income jobs are merely statistics used to sway some sort of speech or lecture. Truly, we're turning into nothing more than numbers used to prove points, not determine our future. Bush is not concerned about his approval. Why? Because he knows it realistically doesn't matter. He holds the ultimate power, and if he doesn't, he'll just sign some new secret document saying he does. Total disregard for the foundation laws signed during the founding days of The United States of America. He is willing and now able to do so without a threat of damage, moral obligation or sleep at night. And we allow it. Every day we do. It's not that the American people just say "o.k.", but it appears many have simply given up. I know I have for one. Sure I vote, but with much reserve and doubt. I know that I’m one of the few who feel the way I do that is going to go vote. And that’s where the problem lays. Instead of showing up in masses, we’ve grown complacent to sit back and take the cards that are dealt to us even when we suspect a stacked deck. Perhaps this is because many, like me, are growing ashamed to be American in some small sense of the word.
The U.S.A and its people; we’ve revolutionized the world with our freedoms, open-minded thoughts, inventions and laws. We ratified the idea of acceptance in our earliest days. We opened new lands to complete strangers and those who were different. We brought forth true fellowship.
I’ll remind you that we’re all here because our ancestors moved to this land. It’s not our originating soil; we’re all ethnically different. So why now are other countries looked upon as “others” and not as our originating homelands? Because we’ve lost confidence in ourselves, we’ve grown accustom to blaming others for our problems. After 9/11, we allowed Bush to contrive our Patriotism by using our rejuvenated strength and legendary values to attack and dispense a new type of fear on the world. He didn’t unite us under the strength of freedom and solidarity, instead he united us under a false sense of Patriotic Duty showing us it was and still is o.k. to kill others who don’t believe what we do. And we fell for it by letting him amass unchallengeable power and attack those who he disagrees with. Perhaps we can call this Conservative Corporate Terrorism; I think it sounds about right.
Yes, I’m a citizen in powerful country who probably takes for granted some of the freedoms I have. However, I do not disrespect them. The USA is a country that was built by great minds and even greater hearts. A wall if you will, who’s every stone is unique. So, why should I not feel a sense of comfort and warmth when I say, “I’m an American”? Perhaps because I’m a little afraid of what that means in 2006, and who will hate me for saying it. Is it bad to be an American, maybe not, but it’s apparent many people think so. Americans can’t go to many countries now for fear of being killed simply because of the country they come from. Killed because of their citizenship! What terror Bush has instilled in our world.
Will other countries be smart and learn from our mistakes? Will their citizens show the compassion towards us that so many of us are looking for? I am sure I’m not alone when I say “I think so”. So it’s time we looked towards our neighbors and fellow Americans and decide we’re not a country that was created to be ruled by persons who refuse to listen. The USA was born because it’s people grew and listened to one another. Our power comes from our ability to accept those that are different. We can’t lose that. We need to show the Government that used to be “of the people and for the people”, that we Americans accept those who do not believe in a similar God, are of the same color of skin, have same sex partners or speak the same language. We accept them, and their differences and will take those differences and strengths to rebuild our country and it’s spirit. A man who refuses to listen to those whom he serves will not rule us any longer. We are not slaves to our country, we are Americans and we are going to change things for the better. The only way we can make these changes is to vocalize and act on our words. We must vote! We must listen! We must work together no matter our differences. We must be Americans.

It's been awhile

Things have been pretty CRAZY lately, sorry I neglected this for so long. Wow how time can fly, you know? Well, I've been keeping up on Big Brother of course, drinking my protein shakes, trying to stuff my face and all. Not really any weight gain yet, but I can notice some difference in my arms and stomach. Mostly some muscle tone, so hey... no complaints from me!

In the world of Big Brother...all I can say is.. WTF? Things change so fast, I have wanted to keep updates on here, but there's no way I can. The info would be outdated an hour after I posted it. So...if you want to keep up on the latest you can click on the following link and it has the most current events regarding Big Brother 7 Allstars. Much easier for all of us! Just scroll down a little and you'll see all the major updates. Also, don't forget the two links on the right side of my blog for BB7 sites.

Cory and I went to go get our passport photos taken today. We've got the urge to travel again, and we're thinking a cruise. Neither of us have been on one before, and they have one going to the Western Coast of Mexico. Included Puerto Vallarta and Cabo San Lucas too. We'd love to do that, sounds like a fun time. Of course, money is the biggest issue...we've yet to work out all the details. So, in the meantime, we're getting our passports just to be "prepared".

Moving right along to the next random subject, I checked my email last night for my yahoo account and found an astonishing number of new emails. I figured spam right? Well it turns out that I had put a profile on this new site called Tagworld. It's kind of like Myspace, but well different. Go figure eh? What happened is they have a "most popular" section where on the main page they display a few of the "most popular" members pictures. Well for some reason my picture/icon was on that and my GOD...I couldn't keep up. I went from like 3 friends to nearly 60 I think. Crazy.... Never-the-less, it was flattering. If you're on there.. add me, it's kind of cool and has chat and stuff. Here's my profile or whatever you want to call it.

For added enjoyment to drinking alcohol...try Sparks. It's an energy drink with either 6% or 7% alcohol. More than a can of beer. You can get buffaloed on them and be so wound up you can't pass out. I suppose you might lay there and twitch a bit, but holy beer goggles Batman, what's more fun than a hyper drunk? And, it doesn't taste to bad either. I give it two thumbs up fo shizzle!

So that's all for now.

Big Brother, Better Body, and Boredom

Tuesday already, or should I say at last?! Recovery from this weekend seemed hard for some reason. It's nice having a normal t day weekend that seemed to last a long time. That doesn't seem to happen often. I think alot of it had to do with Cory leaving Sunday around 3ish for Spokane. That left me fending for myself, and lord knows how co-dependant we are. Alas, I survived, the dog and cat are still healthy and neither one has bene lost. I'd say I've been successful so far.

On to a better body. I have to tag someone's site I've been reading for quite awhile. Honestly it's a very great site. He writes very well and has more info you could shake a stick at. If I had more self-control and discipline I'd probably be able to look like Mr. Universe in no time. I been reading to get some tips and motivation to actually put on some mass and cover those damn ribs of mine. I'm tired of being compared to a xylophone! (just kidding, it's usually regarding something ethiopian in nature, not a xylophone) *smart ass grin* So... anyway, if you're interested in taking care of yourself, eating better, toning up, massing up, etc... Go visit Brandon and his Body Building Journal. By Jolly he's one smart cookie!

On to Big Brother 7 All Stars. I've been keeping up on this, but trying not to post too much yet since there's only been one show. I know there are people out there that love the show so much; they don't want to be spoiled when they watch it. For me...well let's say I'm an addict. That's a safe phrase. I love the show and the live feeds. For me, knowing before doesn't ruin the show for me. I like seeing how it's edited and what is exactly presented to the audience that does not get the live feeds.
Ergo, tonight is the 2nd episode. I promised Cory I wouldn't watch it tonight since he can't. How nuts is that? It's going to be hard hard hard to not watch it, but I'll manage. He gets back from Spokane Wednesday, so I'll only be a day behind on the show. Granted I already know more than they'll probably show tonight, it still sucks. :) Wish me luck.
